We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter Machinist to join our team in Mackay QLD.

This role is a for a mechanically minded person with good attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires.

Duties and responsibilities:

Buildand reconditioning driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off highway and industrial applications.Machineof driveline components.Assemble,welding, and balancing of driveshafts.Generalworkshop duties as required.

As a Workshop Fitter you will be reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a team located in Mackay QLD.

To be successful in this role you need:

Well-developed fitting and machiningskillsobtained in a workshop environment.Have a sound mechanical aptitudeand knowledge.Experience operating manual lathesand welding equipment is essential.Demonstratea high degree of flexibility with job tasks.The abilityto participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.Proven safety and quality focus& Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company's Health & Safety policies & procedures.A willingnessto work as part of a team, and do whatever is required, to help achieve business targets.Certificate 2 in Engineering is desirable - basic machining skills
