Workshop Mechanic (6-month contract)

Workshop Mechanic-Tubular Running Services will provide his/ her mechanical knowledge, capability and expertise working in our oilfield equipment repair/maintenance and fabrication shop. You will be required to do preventative maintenance and repairs on our specialized equipment. Our equipment utilizing a large amount of hydraulics and electrically operated components so expertise, additional training and experience in these areas are an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
To perform mechanical repair, overhaul and commissioning of all Weatherford TRS mechanized & conventional equipment to the Global TRS work instruction requirements. Assist in preparing for load-out, inspect, clean and refurbish equipment for future use, as well as ensuring that a safe and efficient environment is maintained. Assist in scheduling workshop activities to maximize efficiency. Prioritise and schedule repairs and maintenance of specialized equipment Implement specialized equipment spare part inventory Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in workshop and yard Implement and maintain specialized equipment servicing procedures Provide assistance to the Technical Support Team in regards to implementation and operational support in the areas of, but not limited to: Automated Tubular Handling Systems Casing Running Tools Deepwater Handling Systems Tubing and Casing Tongs Remote Locations Bucking Units Mechanized Tubular Handling Systems Mechanized Training Maintains adequate, trained, and motivated personnel and ensures compliance with Company policies and all government health, safety, and employment practices. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation on delivery slips, work reports, timesheets, and other similar administrative forms. Ensure the repair and maintenance steps as per MYADVISOR are followed during repair/maintenance equipment. Responsible for quick, accurate and safe production process. Knows and understands Weatherford's Quality Policy and complies with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Technical and Operating Procedures, and Workplace Instructions. Understand and comply with all Weatherford safety rules and policies. It ensures the highest quality in the services provided to customers. Performs other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Job Qualification:
Comfortable with a 6-month of contract. Minimally 3 years of related experience in workshop repair & maintenance in mechanical and hydraulic equipment and system. Experience in oilfield operations, workshop, maintenance centre. To plug & play – hands-on experience technical support to the production Experience in oil and gas industry is a plus. High School Diploma or Secondary School in relevant disciplines Knowledge of Window-based systems.
