As part of our journey, we are looking for a proactive and driven WCM Manager to lead the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) programme at our Runcorn site.
The Role:
As the WCM Manager, you will play a key role in driving the implementation and progress of our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) programme. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will collaborate with the senior leadership team to define and execute WCM strategies, taking a hands-on approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Continuous Improvement: Actively promote and embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS). Lead WCM Initiatives: Collaborate with factory and improvement teams to implement World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies. Lead and participate in site improvement activities, ensuring they meet the required standards of rigor and are completed within set timeframes. Champion WCM Across the Site: Serve as a WCM advocate within operational teams, fostering engagement and commitment to the programme's goals. Drive Factory Improvement Plans: Work closely with SGIS factories and improvement teams to support WCM initiatives that align with the factory's Route to Bronze, Silver, or Gold, as defined by site and Pillar roadmaps. Achieve WCM Targets: Collaborate with factory teams to define and achieve WCM targets. Provide expertise in identifying, analysing, and resolving operational challenges to support continuous improvement and long-term success.About You:
We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual with a proven track record in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or a similar operational excellence programme. You should have the ability to lead and inspire teams, work effectively with cross-functional groups, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key qualifications and skills include:
Experience with WCM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Proven experience in leading and delivering successful operational excellence projects. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and develop others. Ability to manage multiple improvement activities simultaneously and ensure they are completed on time and to a high standard. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Why Join Us?
