Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for identifying, soliciting, and closing new business for the companyGenerate an ongoing list of prospectsUtilize cold calls, prospecting emails, mail, professional associations, and networking to contact prospective clientsAbility to identify opportunities for cross-sell of other lines of insuranceIdentify exposures, make recommendations, and create custom programs to eliminate gaps in coverageIdentify opportunities to round out accounts for existing clientsMaintain client relationships and retention of accounts through agency’s renewal workflows.
Qualifications3-5 years of experience working in an insurance brokerage or carrierPersonable and highly motivated to grow personal successGood written and verbal communication and presentation skillsExcellent organization and follow-up skillsConsultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospect, clients and associatesExcellent listening skills with strong customer focusApplied Epic or similar agency management software experience, preferredAble to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team membersAbility to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior and effort to achieve goals and objectivesSelf-motivated and drivenHubSpot and related sales tools a definite plusMaintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlinesDemonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistanceDemonstrates excellent time management and prioritization skillsAttention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracyThe ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive informationAbility to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
