Wound Clinic Suppt Team Member

Summary: Primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service, patient registration, and scheduling the patient. Performs many duties such as creating documents, work orders and ordering supplies. Responsible for answering multiple phone lines to schedule and coordinate visits and ancillary testing as ordered by physicians, advanced practice providers and clinical staff for multiple departments and providers. Completes the process of scheduling in an efficient, friendly, accurate, and timely manner following the defined scheduling protocols. Also, assures that the patient is scheduled appropriately for that diagnosis. Communicates with physician offices, patients, and ancillary departments regarding scheduling procedures, appointments, and coordination of tests. Assists with clinic room turnover when needed. Displays a high degree of independent judgment and self-direction. Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence; and adheres to the Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
Experience: Prefer two years of medical office, call center, customer service, or clerical setting experience. Prefer experience working with computers. Medical terminology and/or coding experience preferred.
Other Qualifications: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
