We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a WPB Chief Control Officer.
WPB Chief Control Office (CCO) consists of subject matter experts in risks and controls. The team is responsible for managing risks in WPB in a proactive and effective manner, enabling the Bank to thrive. We play a key role in monitoring and managing a wide range of risks and controls, driving a strong risk culture, ensuring customer protection, operational excellence as well as providing professional advice and recommendations as a trusted business partner.
Principal Responsibilities
As a WPB CCO, you will take responsibility to the proactive risk management strategies, driving continuous improvements, fostering an effective risk and control environment, and structuring comprehensive, risk based commercial solutions to help the businesses and functions grow safely and operate efficiently.
-Act in the capacity of Chief Control Officer of HACN WPB and Key Person in Charge of Risk Management of WPB to ensure an effective Risk Management of the business.
- Optimize the risk and reward relationship of business activities.
- Lead the CCO team and engage with other risk stewards to develop, maintain and enhance risk management and control systems to methodically identify, control and manage the non-financial risks inherent in business.
- Engage with RC relevant regulators as necessary to ensure compliance of regulatory expectations and requirements in Risk Management.
- To exercise risk steward challenge, act as independent trusted advisor in governance forums, issue management, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with risk owners and control owners.

- University graduate in business, finance, banking or related areas
- Over 10 years’ experience in managing team preferable
- Confident in challenging business-as-usual operating models and a proven ability to move project initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model
- Strong independent contributor, who is comfortable working in a self-directed mode, on multiple assignments, where the teams will often be multi-tasking.
- Ability to react quickly and effectively. Ability to take decisions, formulate solutions and problem solve under significant business and time pressures. Can investigate and seek remedies for issues which may be adversely affecting business performance in a timely manner.
- Good at people engagement, aiming at an environment that strives towards achieving the highest level of Client Experience and staff engagement.
- University graduate in business, finance, banking or related areas
- Over 10 years’ experience in managing team preferable
