WPL Clerk - (Night Shift)

Summary

The overall purpose of this position is to provide support to the WPL, shipping and production departments through inventory control, counting inventory in the 28-degree coolers, using SAP / CFS programs, computer, etc. To ensure trucks are completed on time.

 

Shift(s)

Monday – Friday 5pm – 2pm, with overtime as required. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities  Monitor product going into the 28 - degree room cooler and ensuring it is boxed on customers’ orders according to truck times. Complete Daily physical inventory counts to ensure product availability for truck times. Communicate with production and shipping for product availability for departure times Learn SAP and CFS programs. Learn all product codes and the department that responsible for producing what’s needed for trucks. Communicate with production through email and paper copies every two hours about what’s needed for trucks. Perform other departmental duties as directed by management or lead associate. Minimum Education

REQUIRED:  High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

REQUIRED: Strong reading, writing, math, computer, and analytical skills are required. Computer skills must include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

Experience Preferred

PREFERRED: Previous manufacturing experience and /or experience with SAP and CFS are highly preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent in an office environment located on the production floor. The temperature in the in the office will be approximately 28 degrees Fahrenheit or colder. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent on the production floor to verify customer orders. May be required to handle product that is colder than 35 degrees Fahrenheit Exposures primarily consists of wet and moist floors, which includes metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May be exposed to noise ranges up to 110db May be exposed to chemicals used in a food processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, heights, intervals of time, object grasped and body positions depending upon the task being performed
