From the morning essentials that get us started to the office space that inspires our productivity, the Office Manager/Facilities Lead is there to make it happen. Your expertise lies in your positivity, approachability, and execution abilities in a rapidly changing startup environment ranging from top executives and real estate agents to engineers, new hires, and interns. Located at our Compass National Headquarters location, you'll transform the office experience by establishing a trust-building environment, going beyond standard service to create a memorable atmosphere that resonates with our team and their clients.

At Compass You Will:

Manage and execute office standard operating procedures and tracking processes (including budgeting, seating and occupancy, procurement, onboarding, etc.). Ensure facilities standards, security, and aesthetics are maintained by conducting daily quality-assurance walkthroughs, holding third-party vendors accountable to their scope of services, and coordinating office repairs/services. Ensure cleanliness and overall organization of all office areas, including reception, conference rooms, kitchen, and general common areas. Champion Compass culture by planning and executing in-office and off-site meetings and events, while providing coordination support in alignment with standard operating procedures. Manage all corporate-related office vendors, contracts, and invoicing for office/s (maintenance, housekeeping, catering, security, etc.). Maintain and organize office supplies and snacks inventory to ensure availability and adherence to budget guidelines. Assist with outgoing/incoming deliveries along with timely distribution to recipients. Accept and manage the delivery of food and beverage deliveries. Manage internal communications including office updates and newsletter. Partner with various National Workplace Operations team members and other parts of Compass on special projects and initiatives. Partner closely with People & Culture and IT teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding experience for employees. You'll assist with onboarding new hires including access, workspace set-up, equipment needs, and coordinating workplace orientation. Log, update, and close Zendesk tickets as per standard operating procedures (where applicable). Additional responsibilities may be necessary depending on the needs of the office and workplace portfolio. Hands-on approach managing basic maintenance tasks, such as changing water filters, optimizing office aesthetics and function through furniture and supplies relocations, etc. Follow appropriate processes to greet and register office guests, coordinate with the host, and issue temporary access and parking as needed. Manage subtenant relationships at neighboring building.

What We Look For:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience preferred 2-3 years of service experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management, or equivalent office management experience Articulate and polished communication style Experience in providing support in a professional work environment Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new software applications Demonstrated ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced environment  Ability to multitask, establish priorities, meet deadlines and make sound decisions Proactive and resourceful This position involves regular walking, and standing. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching and lifting up to 30 lbs. Experience at a startup or real estate brokerage preferred Experience in multi-location support is a plus Experience with Google Suite, Zendesk, Coupa is a plus This role is 100% on-site based out of our NYC HQ in Union Square

The base pay range for this position is $62,400-$74,500 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
