Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for a Worldwide Performance Planning and Operations Manager to help us do extraordinary things. We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to head our Performance Planning + Operations team, part of the global performance marketing organization within Apple Retail. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of performance marketing, analytics, and technical marketing operations. They will be responsible for shaping the technical roadmap, driving the measurement framework, and managing our global investment strategy to align marketing performance with the broader business goals.
**Description**
Technical Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the vision for the team’s technical roadmap, with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and aligning with the global marketing strategy. Measurement Strategy: act as business lead on the development and execution of our measurement roadmap in collaboration with Marketing Analytics and Data Science, ensuring robust and scalable metrics for tracking campaign effectiveness. Investment Strategy & Planning: own the global investment strategy, including goal setting and coordination of resource allocation to spend media dollars more effectively across channels. Align marketing spend with company goals and market opportunities. Executive Reporting: Manage the team responsible for global reporting and deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership on marketing performance. Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: serve as a cross-functional thought partner to Marketing Analytics, Finance, Commercial Marketing and Commercial Management teams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and operational plans. Operational Excellence: Lead process improvements to streamline workflows across marketing planning, insights, and execution. Foster a data-driven, results-oriented team culture.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent
+ 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or a related analytical/technical marketing role
+ 2+ years leading high-performing teams (5+ preferred)
+ Expertise in marketing measurement, analytics, and technical infrastructure for performance tracking (e.g., martech, adtech)
+ Proven ability in executive-level reporting and communication

+ Experience managing global teams or working in a global capacity
+ Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of marketing analytics platforms, dashboards, and reporting tools, including martech/adtech or automation tools
+ Familiarity with program management for large-scale, global, or seasonal campaigns
+ Solid knowledge of investment strategies, budgeting, and marketing forecasting on a global scale
+ Skilled at influencing and collaborating across departments and leadership levels
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive operational efficiency

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,700 and $266,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
