X3 Developer Job Description: Sage has an exciting opening for an experienced software developer in our Lawrenceville, US location. We are looking for candidates with a developers’ background and a solid understanding of finance business processes. Ideally the candidate has worked with enterprise software and customized according to business requirements. This individual will be part of the IT team delivering core finance functionality to support Sage’s finance transformation program. This position will review functional requirements captured by Solution Architects and Business Analysts, describe technical solutions, provide estimates and develop in a SCRUM based development team. Key Responsibilities: · Review functional requirements and provide feedback on functional and non-functional aspects (security, usability, performance) · Create technical specifications to underpin functional specs and document implemented solutions to be able to be reviewed and managed by other developers · Provide estimates for development items and track progress against those · Follow secure development lifecycle (SDL) and development guidelines · Conduct reviews with other developers · Ensure successful deployment to production by providing sufficient documentation and building robustness into solution and design · Troubleshoot and respond to user issues that cannot be resolved by 1st and 2nd level support Skills, know-how and experience: · Proficiency in English language, verbal and written · Proven ability to translate between technical and non-technical langue and context · Logical minded – Ability to solve complex problems by applying structured logic · Team-player – Work efficiently as part of developer teams and ensure team success · Strong communication skills in English and Polish to discuss technical and non-technical matters · Work self-reliant while making sure results are delivered to the intern users’ expectations · Ability to learn new systems, programming languages and processes quickly and to delivery efficiently in new contexts · Maintain delivery pace in time-pressured situations, ability to set priorities based on non-technical criteria Preferred: · Understanding of key finance processes and ability to engage with business users on a non-technical level · Up-to-date with latest development trends and skills · Experience in project work of medium sized projects (50+ people involved) and basic project management skills Technical / professional qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical field or equivalent · 5 years of enterprise experience, including implementation experience with one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM, ERP) · 3+ years of experience in customizing / developing Sage X3 (ideally underpinned by training certifications) on commercial projects · Core functional development and understanding in databases development, optimization and operations (Microsoft SQL (2012) or comparable) · Knowledge of React.js framework, node.js and mongo dB are appreciated · Development of multi-tier distributed environments · SCRUM based development · Web service development · Microsoft Office integration and usage Function: IT Country: United States Office Location: Lawrenceville Work Place type: Hybrid Advert Working at Sage means you’re supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
