XR Digital Product Manager

This role will lead implementation of Product Data Model (PDM) insourcing transition plan, integrating PDM into PD digital transformation. This includes staffing, onboarding, people development, work prioritization, process design, software tools, team KPIs, and metric reporting. The role will manage a team to: + develop process and tool improvements to modernize Ford's digital assets for external consumption + deliver external assets in line with program and marketing timing. + Manage and oversee PDM SME team in development and timely delivery of high quality Product Data Models (PDMs) that supports a variety of internal and external use case needs across PD, Marketing, and other skill teams. + Manage and negotiate supplier scopes (where needed) for blended team services and/or tools. + Support the immediate program requirements as well as develop a longer-term vision of PDM and future virtual solutions. + Provide direction to continuously improve the process, tools, quality, and speed of delivery of PDM. + Agile software development to work with both and internal and possibly external delivery team to improve the toolset. + Establish new standardized intake, work task management, product validation, and communication processes for integrated stakeholder touchpoints. + Oversee and improve PDM data curation (upload & tagging) of PDMs in Ford’s single source enterprise asset management tool (DAM/GEAR). + Develop, maintain and publish metrics to show the work progress and the value being delivered. + Support team by removing barriers to success and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams deliver customer value. Business acumen, to ensure and demonstrate that the internal team continues to remain cost efficient and value for money compared to outside vendors. + Work within DT team to integrate PDM and future virtual solutions into overall Digital Transformation (DT) landscape + Seek out automation opportunities to reduce waste, drive efficiencies, and create digital thread of common product data across tools + Work across regions and recognize the different needs of those regions + Build and maintain close cross-functional relationships with Global & Regional Marketing, IT, Global Program Management (GPDS, Vehicle Architecture), Global Engineering (Product Design, Product Configuration, Product Verification/Validation), Purchasing, and core supplier dependent on ingesting Ford PDM into Marketing content production tools. + Benchmark industry standards to evaluate best-in-class digital solutions + Bachelor’s and/or Masters Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Management + Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing supplier relationships, and working with teams across multiple regions. + High-level technical knowledge with the ability to translate into non-technical language and inform tool solution requirements. + Familiarity and some knowledge of common tools used for engineering, digital product, visualization, digital asset management, and purchasing used in Ford PD and across Marketing digital content creation + PD PLM and CAD Tools: 3DX, Teamcenter, Catia, Enovia, Siemens, Digital Buck, V5/NX, Global Integrator, PDO/PDL + Virtual Rendering Tools: VRED, 3DExcite/Dassault/DeltaGen, Pixies, UnReal, Unity, NVIDIA + Ford tools: DMR, Aurora/Ariba, GEAR/DAM, MOCM/Order Guide Workflow + Knowledge and/or familiarity of Ford business pertaining to product program GPDS, product immersions, prototypes, engineering change management, regional product variations, interrelated PD and Marketing dependencies (specifically through . + Some knowledge and ideally some hands-on experience of agile software development + Knowledge of Agile Project Management + Familiarity with how to use Jira to manage and deliver projects in an agile fashion + Understanding of vehicle systems and architecture + Growth mind set, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across various regional cultures.
