This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Must have a valid Driver's License.Must have a clean safety record with no DWI/DUI in the last 12 months.Must have a high school diploma or GED.1-year continuous work experience.Knowledge of hook up for tractor and trailer.Move the correct trailer from yard to door.Set reefer units at appropriate settings.Check to see if reefer units will start.Communicate with the dispatcher and follow instructions.Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance.Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck.Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on the shuttle truck at the beginning of the shift.Will be asked to provide coverage at the guard shack when coverage is needed or during periods of less volume.Will be required to complete lot checks, perform yard sanitation, and all other duties assigned. Must adhere to the salvo lock policy in full compliance.Responsible for the cleanliness of dock doors
