Our client, a logistics company specializing in freight transportation and warehouse support, is looking for a Yard Jockey to join their team in New Brunswick, NJ. This role involves safely operating yard trucks, managing trailer movement, and ensuring efficient yard operations to support plant and warehouse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain an organized storage lot for optimal efficiency.Operate yard trucks safely for loading/unloading procedures.Drive vehicles at low speeds in and around the plant and staging area.Conduct freight pickup and drop-off at 3PL storage facilities as needed.Perform preventive maintenance checks and scheduled vehicle maintenance.Maintain daily movement logs and secure all loaded trailers with padlocks.Communicate with dispatch, operations, and plant personnel via phone or radio.Ensure yard security and follow plant safety requirements.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Valid TDL License required.Experience operating yard trucks in a warehouse or logistics environment.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work in various yard conditions (asphalt, concrete, gravel).

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate: $25 - $28.50 per hour (based on experience).Schedule: Monday - Friday.
