Yard Jockey

2nd Shift 12pm-9pm

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Yard Jockey for our Lowell team. You will be responsible for moving tractor trailers from the staging area to the loading dock, providing assistance in the loading and offloading of freight, and occasionally making local deliveries.

This highly motivated, detail-oriented individual will be responsible for transporting multiple tractor trailers, assisting in freight handling, adhering to safety standards, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and completing paperwork including manifests and logs.

This position reports to the Onsite Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Lowell, MA.

Essential Responsibilities:

Transport multiple tractor trailers from the staging area to the loading dock. Assist in loading and offloading of freight. Adhere to Triumvirate's safety standards. Routinely perform pre- and post-trip inspections. Complete paperwork including manifests and logs. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional exchanges of information 

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement or interest in obtaining it. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)  Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment 

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in the environmental/hazardous waste field. Active Hazmat endorsement
