Job Summary:

The Yard/Shop Laborer & Driver supports the Fleet Department by assisting with general yard and shop maintenance, organizing equipment, and safely transporting materials, tools, and vehicles as needed. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard, shop, and fleet area. Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to job sites. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of fleet vehicles and equipment. Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe working condition. Support mechanics and technicians with various shop tasks as needed. Operate forklifts, loaders, and other equipment (if certified). Follow all safety guidelines and company policies. Other duties as assigned by the Fleet Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in a shop, yard, or laborer role preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
