The Yardman maintains and improves the landscapes around buildings and facilities for the organization, making sure that the facility always looks its best. In addition,the yardman is responsible for removing debris, keeping walkways from becoming slippery during the rain, and spotting other potential dangers around the building.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Cleans interior and exterior areas of buildings on our campus on a daily basis, as well as performs additional seasonal cleaning tasks.
•Picks up and removes trash and debris from the property and disposes of it appropriately on a daily basis.
•Carries out regular maintenance on structures, including carpentry and masonry work to repair damaged floors and walls.
•Removes snow in winter conditions and keep outdoor areas safe during bad weather, including spreading deicer on walkways and steps.
•Performs light excavation, using shovels, picks and other tools to dig trenches and level ground.
•Maintains landscape and garden areas by planting grass, trimming trees and bushes, and fertilizing flowers and other plants.
•Contacts the appropriate technicians and specialists for maintenance jobs that the Yardman cannot do alone. 

Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Experience in Groundskeeping preferred.
