FORVIA is looking for a Year-Round PC&L Intern for our location in Arlington, Texas.

Objective

The PC&L Intern Measure, Analyze and Optimize the PC&L operation in the Plant to ensure long-term success while reinforcing safety in the day-to-day logistics operations.
The main missions of the role are:
Shopfloor – 

Analyzing material flow inside the Plant and update the MIFD (Material Information Flow Diagram).Propose new lay out based on the JNI (Just Needed Inventory) methodology. 98% of current series references with a storage location assigned with MIN/MAX.Identify potential inventory reductions in the warehouse. Map current vs ideal warehouse utilization.Identify potential changes/savings current routes coming from intercompany suppliers. Develop a PFEP (Plan For Every Part).

ERP (SAP) – 

Increase to 97% the overall Master Data metric, this includes working in the following areas:Effective Procurement. Secure transportation.Just Needed Inventory.

 

Conduct the implementation of logistics basics, booking operations, traceability, labelling, container management, etc.Look for productivity gains.Manage, train and coach logistics operators team.Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
 Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be: possess good communication and leadership skills, above average people and organizational skills, and be willing to work required overtime.
Minimum education level: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. 

Experience:

Experience in production or an industrial environment preferred. Past training or coaching experience preferred
