Job DescriptionIntroduction

ASML is looking for a Manufacturing Technician to support operations on a Compressed Work Week Days 1 (CWW D1) schedule that works from 6am to 6pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. This technician will accurately assemble, integrate and qualify complex ASML technical products in accordance with established specification requirements in a clean room environment.

Role and responsibilities

Quality: Assemble, integrate and qualify technical products in accordance with established specification requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes. Observe and report about regular and/or on-going problems that occur in the assembly of products or their operation and collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to provide support during the production process to their solution. Work in accordance with Technical Product Documentation (TPD) and ensure the TPD is complete. Discuss any changes with the Production Engineer;

Production: manufacture and deliver high level, complex systems according to the established procedures. Solve less complex technical problems that may occur; Accurately track work completed and communicate to peers across shifts;

New products: actively contribute to the pilot production process and the transition to volume production. Work with Production Engineering on the development and improvement of TPD, processes and records and other relevant topics. Observe and report about anticipated problems that may affect production and qualification capabilities;

Know how: acquire sufficient knowledge of new and established products and processes, modifications, sub-modules and complete systems. Use this knowledge to aid effective and efficient production and provide sufficient diagnostic knowledge to solve problems as they occur and achieve the correct results;

Planning: execute plan and activities as assigned by area leader and monitor the practical situation;

Teamwork: Support colleagues in training processes; search for solutions and ideas arising from input and the implementation of departmental goals.

Safety:  Adhere to all ASML Corporate & Wilton Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures, and protocols (including proper gowning and the use of other personal protective equipment) 

Education and experience

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required

Strong computer skills working with various softwares -- mechanical/mechatronic Testing softwares, SAP, and Lab View systems a plus.

2+ years of Hands-on experience preferably with mechanical parts using precision tools.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (i.e. Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret data, information and documents

Experience working according to a strict set of procedures within provided timelines a plus

Other information

Must be able to work the Compressed Work Week Days 1 (CWW D1) schedule that works from 6am to 6pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a Cleanroom environment (constant 72℉; working under ISO 9001/14001 standards)

Must be able to work in full PPE (full body coveralls, hood, clean room safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves, safety glasses) for entire duration of shift and re-gown multiple times per day

Routinely required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, use fingers to  handle and feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach and stretch

Must be able to perform solo lifts and/or move up to 35 pounds  

Specific vision abilities required -- close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Must be able to work with/on ladders, work on platforms, work around chemicals, operate overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet jacks. 

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
