Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Some weekend and nights may be needed for events

Salary: $21.21/ hour

Sign-on bonus: $1000; $500 upon completion of 30 days, $500 upon completion of 6 months

The Young Adult Peer Mentor is a young adult (YA) who has personal experience living with and recovering from mental health needs, substance misuse, and/or traumatic life concerns. He/she/they has experienced challenges in one or more areas that interfered significantly with his/her/their everyday life. The Young Adult Peer Mentor is essential in welcoming new Youth and Young Adults (YYA) to services and to the activities offered at the YYA. The Young Adult Peer Mentor is key in supporting Youth and Young Adults as they drive their High-Fidelity Wraparound Team using Achieve My Plan (AMP).

Responsibilities include:

Works with the YYA (if chosen) to enhance skills of self-direction and empowerment Provides 1:1 support, coaching, and modeling to support and improve engagement in services Carries caseload of 10 YYA for the purposes of providing individual 1:1 peer mentoring Provides the core staffing for the YYA Uses the Young Adult Peer Mentoring Practice Profile to define role Provides outreach and marketing efforts to educate YYA and other stakeholders in the community about the program and services Additional duties as assigned
