Youth Care Professional Overnights

Nexus Gerard Family Healing, a member of Nexus family of treatment programs, is looking for a resilient and compassionate Overnight Youth Care Professional who is able to provide youth exceptional care. Schedule/Salary/Location

Schedule: 11:00pm - 7:00am Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.50/hour, $1.10 shift differential for working overnight Located at 1111 28th St NE, Austin, MN 55912

Position Summary:    The Youth Care Professional is responsible for providing reliable and timely support and reinforcement of all therapeutic programing by providing guidance and direction to clients in their daily living activities by utilizing trauma informed practices to maintain a safe environment, while ensuring the client’s needs are met.

As a Youth Care Professional, you will:

Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan of clients by providing guidance and direction to residents in their daily living activities Provide mentorship and supervision of resident daily activities and behavior according to established guidelines and procedures Participate with coworkers as a team on implementation of treatment plans and therapeutic services Remain cognizant of individual client phases, privileges, restrictions and adapt interactions accordingly Ensure resident safety and collaborate with coworkers to maintain an environment that is positive, respectful, clean and therapeutic Work effectively with clients’ families/support networks to reinforce positive family partnerships; Follows established protocols in the use of family engagement and involvement techniques Plan and participate in off-campus resident activities and assist in the transportation of clients to home visits, doctor appointments, planned recreational activities

Required Education and Licensure:

Minimum 21 years of age High School diploma or GED is required Valid driver’s license required, must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements 

Preferred Education and Experience:

YCP: Previous experience is not required YCP I: 1+ years’ experience in a field of treatment, probation, case management in human services, in-home work, therapy, or counseling or has met the Nexus Proficiency and YCP Program requirements YCP II: 1+ year of experience in residential setting (residential, group home, congregate care) or has met the Nexus Proficiency and YCP Program requirements  YCP III: 1.5 years (18 months) experience required, in a residential setting or has met the Nexus Proficiency and YCP Program requirements
