What you will do:

Adhere to the facility and daily schedule. Complete daily assignments as specified by the Senior Coach Counselor. Ensure that program rules, norms and policies are enforced. Conduct physical count of clients within the assigned living area. Follow suicide prevention monitoring as directed. Encourage and support the clients’ academic, treatment participation. Facilitate problem solving through active listening and guidance.

 

To be considered, you should:

Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Have a desire to work with troubled teens. Be at least 21 years of age. Have a bachelor’s degree or Valid Child Development Teaching Permit or 12 Semester Units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Psychology or Valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor, Alcohol and Drug counselor or One (1) year of previous experience employed as a full-time staff at a group home, short-term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
