Rutgers Future Scholars is seeking a Youth Development Specialist for the Newark Community which serves 250 rising 8th-12th grade students. The RFS-Newark program is housed within the Center for PreCollege Programs (CPP). Reporting to and under the supervision of the Program Manager.
The position responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Design and facilitate student learning opportunities through college and career readiness, college exposure, service learning, financial literacy, civic engagement, STEM instruction, enrichment excursions, etc. Maintain activity logs for services delivered. Prepare and provide recruitment and group interview presentations for students and families. Assist the program coordinators and the Program Manager in preparing reports.
This position is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding. Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week up to 19.5 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement. FLSA Nonexempt Position Salary $20-25 per hour Payroll Designation PeopleSoft Benefits Terms of Appointment Temporary Staff Appointment - Hourly
