Youth Mental Health Residential Supervisor

Our Intensive Treatment Program is a co-ed therapeutic residential treatment program for youth, ages 8 through 17, with significant mental health and psychiatric needs.  The program provides a safe, secure home-like setting where their path toward healing can begin.  The Intensive Treatment Program specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)—a cognitive behavioral treatment approach that emphasizes the development of four skill sets: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned): + Manage and oversee the operations and facilitation of shift duties and responsibilities within the Intensive Treatment Programs + Provide direct supervision of staff and clients during scheduled shifts, including during instructional, therapeutic, and recreational activities. + Provide administrative supervision to the program and staff including, but not limited to, hiring, supervision, evaluation, as well as disciplinary actions and termination of employees. Oversee staff scheduling and obtain staff coverage when necessary + Support, enhance and evaluate staff skills through positive and effective role modeling and training, ensuring consistent and quality service is delivered. Lead effective therapeutic interactions between staff and clients. + Responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of each client’s individualized treatment plan and schedule + Participate in residential and departmental training sessions and workshops as part of staff development programming + Attend staff meetings, treatment conferences, team meetings, supervision, and other meetings. Provide trainings as needed to staff and supervisors + Provide therapeutic crisis intervention when needed + Maintain appropriate relations with other programs as well as other providers.  Provide care management or other services on behalf of clients, or as assigned by the Program Clinical Supervisor or Director Qualifications: + Education: Minimum Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred. + Work Experience: Working with mental and behavioral health disorders. Previous residential treatment experience preferred.
