Youth Operations Intern

SCOPE OF WORK:The Youth operations intern will be responsible for ensuring up to date, accurate, and organized data for educational programs for newly arrived youth including Tutoring, Leaders in Training, Community Events, Youth ESOL, and School Success Coaching. They will also assist in student recruitment and enrollment for the Newcomer Youth Summer Academy. This role will be overseen by the Youth Operations Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Assist in updating and maintaining accurate records in our data systems.• Track and organize paperwork to support data management processes.• Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.• Collaborate with other team members to improve data collection and managementprocesses.• Outreach to families to collect required paperwork and information• Inventory & organize supplies• Update relevant funder databases• Assist with student recruitment and enrollment of summer program• Other relevant duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:• Undergraduate level student/graduate in Business, Education or similar field preferred• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Competency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)• Fluency in written and spoken English required. Second language proficiency in relevant language highly desirable (including Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, Haitian Creole,French, Pashto, Fulani, Dari, Farsi, Arabic)
