The Youth Outreach Specialist works directly with kids in the Sioux City Community School District to facilitate needed services to promote their well-being.

Compensation: $30,000/year

Schedule: follows the school schedule

The Sanford Center has provided outreach services to Sioux City Schools since 1993 and positively affected thousands of kids lives over the years. The Outreach Specialist, takes a genuine interest in the students in their case load by acting as a coach. mentor and positive role model.

Responsibilities:

Implement behavior plans for students with goals and objectives Provide progress reports Conduct home visits and document interactions 

 

Qualifications: 

Associates degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology or related field (or) HS Diploma with at least 2 yrs experience in human services Licensed to operate a motor vehicle and meet agency's auto insurance requirements

Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting Excellent written and verbal communication skills
