Youth Quake Peer Coordinator

Schedule: Mon, Fri 9am-5pm, Tue-Thu 10am-6pm

 

Salary: $47480/ year

 

The Healthy Transitions Peer Coordinator will utilize personal lived-experience to provide the services and supports needed for Youth and Young Adults to make a healthy transition into Adulthood. Based in the Healthy Transitions Drop-In Center, the Healthy Transitions Peer Coordinator will coordinate Youth and Young Adult leadership activities, conduct engagement activities, and ensure youth voice is reflected throughout the program.

 

Responsibilities will include:

Working with the Youth and Young Adults to enhance skills of self-direction and Provide outreach and engagement activities that lead to the establishment of a Young Adult Leadership Council Provides outreach and marketing efforts to educate Youth and Young Adults and other stakeholders in the community about the program and services Acts as staff liaison to the Young Adult Leadership Promotes Youth and Young Adults participation in other local and statewide leadership councils, such as the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Statewide Mental Health Planning Council Youth Development Subcommittee. Ensures Youth and Young Adults decision making power is present in all aspects of the Drop In Supports Youth and Young Adults and facilitates and promotes Youth and Young Adults voice in policy and programmatic decisions and service design and improvement to ensure services are Coordinates the inclusion of Youth and Young Adults in the interview and hiring of all staff Other responsibilities as assigned
