Multiple Positions available for our Youth Support Specialist position.

The position of Youth Support Specialist https://youtu.be/cdTR_D0i9IY provides services designed to restore, rehabilitate, and support a child developmentally.
The goal of the Youth Support Specialist is to help the child become an active and productive member of their family and community.

ResponsibilitiesOverview of the essential duties and responsibilities:
Assist the client (child/youth) to develop and apply skills in a natural setting.Provide planned and/or crisis respite services.Assist with the building of developmentally appropriate skills to promote personal and community competence.Increase the social and interpersonal skills of the client (child/youth).Provide services to the client within an individual and group settings within the community. Services provided can take place during the day, weekdays and/or weekends.Will work with the client in a range of settings to include where they live, socialize, work, attend school and at the agency's facility.Responsible for the delivery & proper documenting of services in accordance with Medicaid billing and our agency standards.Collaborate with service providers that may play a role in the established treatment plan and the continued planning of the client's care.Demonstrate cultural competence and trauma-informed practice by integrating the understanding into the daily responsibilities.Attend weekly supervision meetings with the direct Supervisor.Participate in mandatory and recommended training programs. QualificationsQualifications:
Education: minimum of High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or Technical School is required.Experience: related experience working with at-risk youth or youth with mental health/special needs.Transportation: must have access to private transportation.License: Valid NYS Driver LicenseTelecommute: ability to telecommuteProficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word & ExcelWork experience within a collaborative team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
