Yum! Restaurant People Technology Leader

Yum! People Technology COE is looking for a leader of Restaurant People Technology for our In Store Operations. This person is responsible for overseeing the optimization of technology systems within our restaurants. This role focuses on improving the employee experience and equipping our Restaurant General Managers with the tools and insights they need to build and retain amazing teams that delivers an outstanding Customer Experience, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth. This role is pivotal in driving the restaurant's digital transformation and ensuring that technology is used effectively to enhance both customer experience and operational efficiency.

The Restaurant Technology Leader will be responsible for creating a strategy, Product Roadmap and execution plan for our restaurant level employee technology roadmap. The role involves managing all aspects of restaurant technology including LMS, ATS and other technologies. The leader will work closely with various departments to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and improve the overall employee experience.

Salary Range: $­­139,000 to $163,500 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy Roadmap: Lead the development and implementation of a technology roadmap that aligns with our restaurant's operational and strategic goals with key focus areas being (but not limited to) LMS Portals – Create approach to have one front end portal to access learning content which would result in reduction of 3rd party spend for custom portals and loss of feature parity. ATS- Act as lead to standardize and consolidate both ATS and employment marketing solutions for restaurant level roles  Product Roadmap of future People Technology products that will enhance the employee experience, provide deep data-driven insights and ultimately benefit the Customer Experience  Establish Technology Brand standards for our Franchisee partners Employee Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with HR field facing teams to improve employee experience with regards to technology and digitization.  Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure that all technology systems adhere to relevant industry regulations and data protection standards.  Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure that systems are cost-effective, reliable, and scalable. Innovation & Trends Monitoring: Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in the restaurant industry, such as AI, robotics, and IoT, and evaluate their potential application to improve operations and employee experience. Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Work in close partnership with our Digital and Technology, Operations and People groups to ensure a holistic, integrated strategy that is fully aligned with all stakeholders to create shared ownership, priority management and effective resourcing to enable flawless execution.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.  Experience: Minimum 12+ years of experience in technology leadership, preferably within QSR restaurant industry. Proven track record in managing technology rollouts across multiple locations. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of key employee systems that drive employee experience Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Adaptability to a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with emerging technologies like AI, automation, and robotics in the restaurant or food service industry. Previous experience working in a multi-unit restaurant chain or franchise environment. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and PCI compliance.

Work Environment:

Based in the corporate office with regular visits to restaurant locations for technology rollouts, audits, and troubleshooting. Some travel may be required to manage multi-location technology systems.
