POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Zamboni Operator COMPANY: ASM Global DEPARTMENT: Operations FACILITY: Mohegan Sun Arena @ Casey Plaza REPORTS TO: Operations Manager FLSA: Part-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the preparation and operation of the ice resurfacing equipment during hockey practice and games, as well as ice maintenance functions. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: + Operates the Zamboni during hockey games and practices, maintaining the ice to AHL standards + Ability to use an Edger and change the Zamboni blades + Performs maintenance, repairs, and service on ice equipment (Zamboni and Edger) + Completes all required log reports for the Zamboni and also for ice maintenance + Performs ice depth checks as needed + Completes a game day checklist + Checks dasherboards, glazing, and related components prior to ice resurfacing functions + Performs other tasks as assigned. WORK CONTACTS: Operations Staff; event day contact with hockey team personnel SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
