Our Energy & Utilities team are now seeking an experienced Zero Harm Manager to support Downer’s key clients within the Power Generation industry across our West Coast operations. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in our Perth office location however frequent site travel is required to project in regional WA.
About the Role
As a Zero Harm Manager you will actively partner with Downers Industrial and Power Generation (IPG) business. The successful candidate will engage with the IPG operational team to lead Zero Harm behaviours, enabling the conditions for our teams to thrive whilst performing successfully without harm to the people, communities or environment in which we work.
This dynamic role will involve exposure to a mix of disciplines with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Work Health, Safety and Environment objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.
Some key responsibilities include:
Partnering with the IPG Head of ZH and the Western Region GM to build a strong ZH culture. Work collaboratively to build excellent stakeholder relationships, providing insightful, and trusted advice to a diverse range of business managers and employees. Provide technical advice and support to Line Management in the identification, assessment, and control of workplace risks. Demonstrate leadership behaviours that inspire others, set expectations and role model Downer Values, holding self and others accountable to conduct business with the highest ethical standards.About You
Minimum 2 years management experience, leading/managing a high performing team. Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Health, Safety, Environment professional, with relevant industry experience preferably from heavy industrial, mining or construction. Demonstrated experience working with a client HSE team to harmonise asset owner and contractor systems and processes. Ability to travel as per business requirements to regional WA locations. Advanced Diploma in Health & Safety minimum, Tertiary Qualifications in Safety preferred. ICAM investigation skills and competency. Injury Management and Workers Compensation experience. Cert IV Trainer & Assessor certificate is desirable. An understanding and a working knowledge of WHS practices and current legislation.What We Offer
