About the role
AIG is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager, National Accounts to contribute to their industry leading Professional and Cyber Liability team. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and servicing an existing renewal book as well as soliciting new business opportunities. This role includes constant interaction with top nationwide brokers and insureds as AIG’s client base for this role consists of Fortune 500 companies as well as major local regional players who elicit tailored and unique solutions. Through this role, underwriters gain access to a highly evolving and dynamic atmosphere that involves exposure to major influencers in the insurance, technology, and legal fields.
This role will be based in New York City and will report to the Business Segment Leader for the portfolio. You will support the development and execution of the strategies for the National Accounts Professional Liability/Cyber portfolio and will be responsible for strategic oversight of business placed in the Zone. The East Zone includes New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
This position has direct accountability for the business results of their unit with respect to growth, profitability and, penetration of the zonal portfolio. The role is also responsible for driving improved broker relationships and results from a strategic perspective while also working to implement consistent underwriting procedures throughout the territory.

10+ years of Financial Lines Underwriting, Agency or Brokerage experience, with a focus on Cyber, Tech E&O, Media and Miscellaneous Professional Liability.Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.Advanced knowledge of the Financial Lines business (D&O, EPL, PTL, Fidelity) including product features, forms, regulatory environment, and risks.Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.Superb verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.Experience managing or leading a team and/or a P&L.Collegial and collaborative in approach and style.Ability to adapt quickly in an evolving market.Enjoys a challenge with a “can-do” attitude.Available to travel when required.Excellent people management and leadership skills.Experience managing managers preferred.For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $232,000 - $290,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
