Zonal Software Developer

The Zonal Software Platform team is a growing team dedicated to creating Ford Specific common components and enhancing existing software components that integrate with existing architectures as well as our next-generation vehicle systems. The minimum requirements we seek: 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study  Working knowledge of established software design patterns and software engineering 6+ years of engineering work experience 5+ years of experience writing C code 3+ years of experience in Matlab/Simulink 3+ years of experience in Algorithm Design for Embedded hardware and/or software design 2+ years of vehicle network (CAN/LIN/Automotive Ethernet) experience.
 

Our preferred requirements:

Understanding of embedded hardware and software design is desired Familiarity with Vector and Intrepid tools, AutoSAR Classic, and Functional Safety (ISO26262)

This team develops control algorithms and produces code for vehicle features related to climate, starting, locking, lighting, alarms, windows, powered enclosures, and seats.

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Wwning and reviewing requirements, creation of high-level functional specification design, and delivery of quality code using Matlab/Simulink or C in an Autosar Classic environment. Conduct design reviews for new content, resolve vehicle/bread board software issues, unit test content Provide software unit testing including familiarity quality code coverage metrics
