What You Can Expect

This position is responsible for leading a team of ASC Corporate Sales Directors in managing the commercialization process for assigned ASC products and solutions in the Eastern United States, including driving sales growth, supporting customer conversion, and ensuring sales leaders and teams are fully competent on all ASC offerings and market dynamics. A heavy focus on working with customers and internal teams in a strategic fashion, leveraging and developing long term relationships along with contractual levers. Leads corporate sales directors in all facets and responsible for overall ASC business growth.

How You'll Create Impact Manages a team of professionals. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; development and succession planning; addressing complaints and resolving problems; ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and applicable laws.Maintains existing consultant relationships and identifies Key Opinion Leaders for training and educational purposes & Product Engine activities with an ASC focus.Supports sales team with in-depth product knowledge and ensures sales representatives, distributors and customers are properly trained on the products for the ASC environment.Communicates product and company messages at tradeshows, events and in the field and assists with key customer conversionDetermines national ASC focused product portfolio and product positioning according to global positioning strategyNavigates all dynamics and understands orthopedics in the outpatient environment.Drives local account strategy for assigned products in US.In conjunction with the ASC Commercialization VP, reviews local/national product sales performance, explains variance from targets and identifies corrective actions with the sales teamProvides information on ASC market trends and portfolio gaps and acts as the customer’s voice to the Product Engine and other internal teamsHas a strategic mindset to understand and execute beyond one calendar year. Ability to drive and champion the sales channel to understand the importance of being on top of the outpatient dynamics.Provides input to region/country on Sales and Medical Education product training & educational programs and local adaptation/translation of global product contentProvides input to product recall activity and complaints follow upWhat Makes You Stand Out Strong understanding of the technical aspects of product portfolios, as well as the commercialization process.Ability to provide technical support in the operating room.Ability to develop sales plans and analyze sales results based in inputs and Zone VPs/Distributors/Sales Reps/ Sales Analytics team/etc.Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.In-depth product expertise and the ability to provide training/coaching to others on technical aspects of products.Ability to manage key customer relationships and to support/influence customer conversion.Ability to analyze and interpret sales data and determine appropriate actions based on data.Your Background Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related technical area required; MBA preferred.10+ years of successful sales and/or marketing experience in orthopedics, medical devices, or other relevant business experience required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.An extensive experience managing, developing, and coaching individual is preferred.Past experience and success working closely with a distributor organization preferredTravel Expectations
