Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. We are looking for an experienced Zuora Billing Administrator to manage and maintain our Zuora Billing platform, ensuring smooth operation, configuration accuracy, and alignment with company-wide financial and billing processes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Zuora’s administrative functions and possess a keen eye for system optimization, billing configurations, and supporting cross-functional integrations. This role will involve collaboration with business application developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure the Zuora platform functions seamlessly with our existing technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Configuration and Maintenance: Oversee the configuration of billing, payment, and finance settings within Zuora. Ensure that all settings are optimized for performance, compliance, and scalability.
Billing Operations Management: Manage day-to-day billing processes, including subscription setup, rate plan configurations, and product catalog management. Resolve issues that arise during the billing cycle to ensure accurate and timely processing.
System Administration: Handle user permissions, manage system upgrades, and troubleshoot issues to maintain the integrity and reliability of the Zuora platform.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with business application developers, architects, and other IT teams to ensure Zuora’s configurations align with broader business applications and objectives. Facilitate system integrations to ensure unified data flow across platforms, particularly with CRM and ERP systems like Salesforce.
Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Zuora configurations, workflows, and customizations. Ensure that all configurations meet regulatory and organizational compliance standards.
User Support and Training: Provide support to internal users, resolving any issues related to Zuora usage. Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in using the system.
Process Improvement and Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance Zuora’s functionality, streamline billing processes, and automate routine tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze billing reports, payment reports, and financial metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to finance and operational teams based on data analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field
Experience: 3+ years of experience administering Zuora Billing or a similar subscription billing platform, ideally in a managed services or SaaS environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Zuora’s billing, payment, and finance settings. Experience with APIs and integration workflows, especially with CRM and ERP systems.
Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy, compliance, and process optimization.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users and create thorough documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Zuora Billing Administrator Certification; Salesforce Administrator Certification or experience with Salesforce integration is a plus.
Experience with subscription billing models and SaaS business operations.
Familiarity with CRM and ERP platforms, especially Salesforce.
Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to billing and financial data.
