The Data Center Solutions division within Microchip designs NVMe controllers that enable the world’s leading enterprises and data centers to realize the span of highest performing SSDs to highest capacity mainstream SSDs utilizing the latest NAND technologies.

As a member of the NVM controller firmware team, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and reporting to the Manager of Firmware Development, a successful applicant will be involved in the design and implementation of the firmware for

the latest generation of Flashtec NVMe Controllers.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and development of firmware for controller SoCTroubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real-time systemsGenerate comprehensive engineering documentationParticipate in the development of Continuous Integration frameworks using DevOps 

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

BS/MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent discipline5-8 years embedded system development experienceStrong C and C++ programming skills and product development experienceStrong background in software methodology and full-cycle development (design, implementation, testing, and debugging)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in computer storage industry, especially with NVMe/PCIe protocolsPreferred Skills:ARM SoC ArchitectureFamiliarity with hardware & software co-verification/emulation platforms such as Cadence Palladium and ProtiumSource Code Management (Git, Perforce etc.)Agile Scrum development methodologyDevOps and Continuous Integration FrameworksJIRA project management softwareKnowledge on one of more of these scripting languages:PERL, PythonFamiliarity with Linux environment (CLI, device drivers, shell scripting etc.)Security Product / Cryptographic Algorithm DevelopmentBus/Logic analyzers
