JR59002 Product Engineer - Functional & Design ValidationAs a Product Engineer, the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Product Engineering organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of a brilliant team of engineers that solves complex problems. You will be responsible for enabling Micron’s NAND products with seamless and issue free release to both internal and external non-volatile system customers.
In this role (FDV – Functional and Design Validation), you will formulate and execute validation flows on the latest RG NAND designs, using silicon and simulation. Validation on the NAND datasheet commands and features can come from deterministic usage cases, as well as randomly generated sequences. When device issues are uncovered, you will perform detailed failure analysis and work closely with the various Engineering and Development groups to resolve the observed issues.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands
Study the latest RG NAND designs, with focus on customer mode operations
Use high-speed tester hardware to perform functional and design validation of new NAND devices
Perform Electrical Failure Analysis during the evaluations, and investigate root causes of reported device issues
Make use of Verilog/Synopsis VCS for simulation study and analysis
Involvement in high-speed fail debug
Collaborate with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product and System teams to drive closure of device issues
Develop and optimize deterministic usage case flow and Random Sequence Generator for validation purpose
Automation of program development and work processes using scripting
Skills Required:
Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering with 1-3 years’ relevant experience in NAND related product and/or test program development
Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
Simulation software know-how (e.g. Verilog, Synopsis VCS)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Good multitasking and organizational skills
