Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our team in Lowell, MA! The Senior Planner is responsible for managing supply and demand for an assortment of electronic assemblies. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively across business units and grow within the organization! The Senior Planner partners closely with members of our Production, Purchasing, Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Engineering teams to assign sales order schedule dates. The Senior Planner will drive to meet that schedule date and communicate complications and status changes as needed to the teams. Other responsibilities can include:

Schedule sales orders based upon customers’ requested ship dates as well as factory and supplier constraints.Create and monitor production orders to drive work in the manufacturing floor.Implement planning changes that optimize available resources, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.Work closely with purchasing to drive work at contract manufacturers.Coordinate production workflow for multiple products.Work closely with Inventory Control personnel to research inventory errors and ensure that material transactions are done accurately.Optimize inventory levels through effective use of MRP.Monitor part structures (BoMs and Routes) for errors and initiate corrections.Monitor and finesse item planning attributes such as minimum inventory levels.Escalate issues that threaten adherence to schedule dates.Provide delivery statuses to Global Sales Support personnel.Drive towards meeting deadlines and achieving customer satisfaction.Summarize and report adherence to committed dates for management.Perform other administrative tasks and assist with various projects as needed. 

Requirements/Qualifications:

Self-starter and team player who is willing to ask questions and learn from experts.Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Possess a sense of ownership of their product lines.Work well independently.Be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Possess a sense of ownership of their product lines.Proficient using Microsoft Office tools, and advanced experience using Excel.Knowledge of lean principles to drive decisions.Be able to understand complex multi-level manufactured assemblies and how the different subassemblies and components come together.A bachelor’s degree in business or MIS preferred.Success in managing a project, either academic or work based.Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX.Minimum of 3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Must be a US citizen.
